I am F. Christopher Reynolds, M.Ed., a singer-songwriter, teacher and community shaman from Cleveland, Ohio.

My mission is to sing the dream of Peace on Earth onward by inviting, welcoming and empowering as many as possible to share in the Third Great Awakening now occurring in Western culture. This website and all of my songs, chants, No Man’s Folk, writings, art, workshops and ceremonies encourage waking up together and participating fully in this Awakening. Even if we never meet, I’ve placed the best I can offer at this time for you and those you love to engage in a co-extrication. Extrication, to me, means untangling, unbinding, and getting free of the challenging unconsciousness of our historical moment. Waking up together with the persons around me and my own extended family has proven to be more nourishing than efforts to reform American religion, education, politics, and economics. (Je parle francais.)

Ironically, the dream of Peace on Earth is among us now during Covid-19. You can see it right in front of us. The past 250 years, there has not been this much calm, clarity of atmosphere, purity of water, non-aggression between warring factions, time with loved ones, appreciation for the preciousness of life.

We are not in a war.

We are hitting bottom the same way an addict or co-dependent person does.

We are in an intervention. We are being asked for this to be our rock bottom. Repeatedly in stories of recovery, you will hear the theme, “I realized that if I did not change my ways, I was going to go insane, die, or cause kinds of harm that scared me.”

We are at the time of reaching out for help, even as factions of human beings push to get back to business as usual. We have a lot of wisdom that can help us. It is in the traditions of peoples who have survived 10,000 years or more on the planet. From the 12 Traditions of Recovery, the first 2 traditions are helpful.

Our common welfare should come first; personal and state and national recovery depend upon mutually beneficial collaboration.

The second requires a grain of salt, so I’m going to merge recovery language with Indigenous Wisdom:

For our purpose, our priority is honoring and participating in the future life of Earth and all our relations in ways that balance us mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and root us in the Peace beyond understanding of the Mystery of Life.

For Americans, we are called to expand our founding American Declaration and dare to devote our personal pursuit of happiness to the pursuit of the happiness and benefit of all beings. This is to align our national dream with the larger dream of Earth. I think this is what Lincoln meant in his Second Inaugural Address by with malice towards none. This same idea is present now during the Coronavirus pandemic where those who risk the most gather under their generous oath, Do no harm.

(All that is written on this website is contained in the songs, The Magnification and Marilyn of the Whirlwind on this page.)

To be alive now is to distinguish between the meanness of the modern and late-modern world views and to co-extricate yourselves into the expansive warmth, love, surprise, humor, and delight of the emerging participatory world view. In this expansive warmth, a here and now from which I write to you and you are reading this, our children and grandchildren thrive best.

Together we are creating a way for a new sense of “home” where we know from direct experience survival and evolution of soul over many lifetimes.

Walt Whitman in his 1855 Leaves of Grass, prophesied:

Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems,
You shall possess the good of the earth and sun, (there are millions of suns left,)
You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, nor look through the eyes of the dead, nor feed on the spectres in books,
You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me,
You shall listen to all sides and filter them from your self.
